Rochelle Chipman entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 1:59 a.m. with her granddaughter softly singing “I’ll Fly Away” at her bedside.
She lived most of her life in Eaton. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1955. She married the love of her life Darrell J. Chipman that same year. They had 3 children: Julie Cason (Gary), Nena Pence (Ron) and a son James Douglas (deceased).
Rochelle was a member of Full Gospel Lighthouse church in Dunkirk, a 50 year member of Eastern Star and a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club. She worked at just about every local restaurant Eaton ever had but her favorite “job” was babysitting numerous children throughout the years.
She was blessed with 3 grandchildren: Jason Johnson (wife, Yulanda), Joshua Johnson (wife, Missy) and Brittany Kwoczalla (fiance’, Brian Carrier); 7 great-grandchildren: Alexander Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Caden Johnson, Rylan Johnson, Norah Johnson, Kolten Kwoczalla and Kanaan Kwoczalla. She is survived by two brothers: Mahlon Dee Terry, Tim Terry (wife, Bobbi), her favorite aunt-Shirley Williamson along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and her best friend of 70 years, Ruth Stout.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her husband Darrell, son J.D., sister, Pam Morgan and her husband, Mike, a brother, Ron Freidenmaker and her mother Wilma Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
