Rowena J. Spoonmore

Muncie, IN Rowena J. Spoonmore, 92, passed away, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Liberty Village, Muncie.

She was born March 5, 1924 in Marion the daughter of Jesse and Velma (Roderick) Palmer. Rowena graduated from Eaton High School in 1942 and married Clarence Earl Spoonmore on February 3, 1945 in Blountsville.

Rowena was employed at Imperial Cabinet Company of Gaston. She attended Union Grove Church of the Brethren and Agape Ministries. Rowena enjoyed Body Recall in Muncie.

Survivors include a son, Steven (Coleen) Spoonmore, Muncie; daughters, Sheila (George) Watson, Cowan and Lisa Stotler, Albany; six grandchildren, Kimberly (Dennis) Davis, Brooke (Stan) Fitzpatrick, Jacob (Jessica) Watson, Carrie (Troy) Young, Angie Yost, Chad (Amanda) Stotler; 23 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth Palmer and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on February 17, 1976, granddaughter, Stephanie Spoonmore in January 1998, a sister, Ferol Stahl and a sister-in-law, Wilma Palmer.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Eldon Morehouse presiding. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
