Ted Lee Coil, 59, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at his home after battling cancer.
Ted was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1966, in Columbia City, Indiana to James and Leona (Evans) Coil.
Ted worked many different constructions jobs over his lifetime, most recently as a pipefitter.
His pastimes include, shooting sports, good music, as well as Civil War and 1800s reenactments with his brother Jim.
Ted is survived by his son, Gavin Newsome of Dunkirk; Jim Coil (Kristi); half-sister, Lori Gulley (Brian), half-brother, Chad Coil; his extended family include: Jason Crabtree (Suzie), Rhonda Caldwell, and Shannan Gray (Chris); Aunt Wanda, Aunt Janie; niece, Bethany Kugler; nephews: Danny Kugler and Zachary Coil; his special friend and caregiver, Julie Cline as well as many other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leona Coil and his Aunt Nancy Kugler.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S Hartford St., Eaton.
