Wanda L. Lewellen, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Signature Health Care in Muncie.
Wanda was born on November 15, 1927 in Montpelier, Indiana, to Raymond and Edna (Brickley) Lowry. She was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1945 and married Lavon Lewellen that same year. Together they would raise their son, Gary Lee Lewellen in Eaton.
Wanda worked for Eaton Douglas, later Miss Eaton. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Psi Iota Xi, and volunteered at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital for 34 years.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lavon Lewellen, their son, Gary Lee Lewellen, grandson, Cory Lewellen (Emily), step-granddaughter, Laurie Godwin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.
